Nuclear Power Plant Detection & Monitoring Instrumentation & Systems

Nuclear Power Plants

Aging nuclear power plants have a need for improved and modernized monitoring instrumentation for workplace safety, effluent radionuclides, on-site inventory, and off-site events. US Nuclear Corp provides updated and state-of-the-art technology for enhanced environmental monitoring programs and systems.

The recent Fukushima Dai-Ichi disaster in Japan dramatically illustrated this need when cooling ponds and fuel rod pools and inventories were not adequately monitored during and following the failure of the Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Repeated incidents of Tritium plumes leaking into the surrounding environment of U.S. nuclear plants continue to be problematic for public health concerns and public confidence.

Recently the effluent radioisotopes of Tritium and Carbon-14 have been declared to be “principal nuclides”. A determination based on current technology such as now available through US Nuclear Corp’s diverse and innovative inventory to detect and monitor such nuclides.
